I recently returned from a scouting trip to Ecuador’s Mindo region, where I took the photographs on this page. The Chocó cloud forests teem with hummingbirds, toucans, colorful tanagers, and wildlife surprises around every bend.
Our 2027 Naturalist Journeys tour takes us beyond Mindo, from lush cloud forests into the Amazon rainforest and up to the high Andean páramo, exploring Ecuador’s extraordinary wildlife and diverse ecosystems.
